Hello i went surfing for a school surfing thing. I walked there. I arrived there and got changed into my togs. They gave me a wetsuit and it was a tight fit. They went over safety things and I was ready to surf. I went out and caught some waves. It was alright but I think fishing is better than surfing. I don’t like surfing because it is very conditional and you can’t go surfing every day. Have you ever been surfing?

Hello, today i got duffy books from Duffy. Duffy books are free books provided by the Avonhead Rotary. They pay for the books and Duffy gives them out to children across New Zealand. I am super grateful that I got those amazing books.

Eman Ghandour came to our school to talk about what books did for her in her life. She was born in Jordan and lived there for 10 years. Later they migrated to denison and traveled to christchurch. She left a lot of family at Jordan. She started a business here that is for other migrant women to feel supported.

Duffy books are important to our school because it cures boredom and gives us free education. I am very grateful for duffy and Avonhead Rotary for working together to get everyone books.

Kia ora, today I watched a small 2 minute clip of a harry potter movie. My job was to summarise what happened and right it down. This is what I write.

Harry and his family went to the zoo. It was old fashioned and had a big snake. Harry’s brother was banging on the glass while the snake was sleeping. When Harry’s brother left he talked to the snake and he somehow understood him. His brother came back and he fell through the glass and the snake escaped. Harry’s brother was stuck inside wet from the muddy water inside the enclosure. Meanwhile the snake was causing chaos.

Hello, this week is book week. At NBC we celebrate it with a book character dress up day. To enjoy this you can dress up, read books and get new books. I have gotten some books from the book day. What do you do for book character day?

Hello, yesterday there was a book character celebration and everyone had the option to dress as one. I didn’t have anything to dress so I went in my uniform. Most of  The other people dressed as harry potter. I saw some really well done costumes like a manolorian and baby yoda and the joker. At the start of the day there was a parade with book prizes. My friend Makua won. After we got free books but i didnt like anything there.

Hello, this week we have been learning about art. I had to make a DLO of how you feel about art. I used Mr Gray’s Template of a red hat. I added what art I like to it. It was really fun and I am looking forward to doing these things more. What is your favoroute art style?
